My guest is unable to confirm their ticket due to access requirements - what do I do?

Please email support@cinematik.app once you have booked your ticket. Remember to include your name and the name of the cinema you have booked for.

What are descriptive subtitles (DS)?

These are subtitles specifically intended for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. They are a transcription rather than a translation, so as well as reproducing dialogue, they aim to describe every additional non-dialogue sound available to a hearing audience watching a film, e.g. “(sighs)” or “(door creaks)” and song lyrics. All Escapes screenings contain descriptive subtitles throughout.

What is audio description (AD)?

Audio description is a service for blind and partially sighted cinemagoers and cinemagoers with sight loss. A narration track is played through a headset and fills the gaps between dialogue by describing what’s happening on screen. The track is undetectable to anyone not wearing a headset and so doesn’t affect their viewing experience. If you need the induction loop or a headset, get in touch with us on support@ cinematik.app.

How do I let you know about access requirements?

Email support@cinematik.app once you have booked your ticket. Please include your name cinema name and details of your request in the email. For example, whether you need a wheelchair space reserved

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account by heading to Profile and clicking ‘delete account’. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our records. Please note, this action is permanent and cannot be undone.
